Jon Bakos The calm power of Daniel's songs have a great way of soothing your mind and day, and they also have this drives that energizes you when you hear them, whether it's for the first or the fiftieth time. Each song is so superb that it's hard to believe that they hadn't already been written by musical luminaries of times gone by. The spot-on and down to earth delivery of the EP's classic and contemporary sound will earn this release a permanent spot in music history. Favorite track: Message From Earth.

about

It's back to basics; stripped back and laid bare. Sanding down the floor boards you hid that spider under. Down there as if in a coma, the tiny Diatoma are floating on the current; bottom of the chain! An old Tascam MF-P01 Four track cassette portastudio with a little help from the digital space. This is not a nostalgic ode, but the exploration of a creative process. No song fights its way beyond a second take. Guitar a little buzzy? All good here. That’s how I play it in the bars and you get what you pay for there.

about

Daniel Madill Dunedin, New Zealand

We create garage folk songs for the modern fears: days spent at tills and the swapping of bills. It’s a big sounding psych- folk, blues mash. Howlin’ Wolf, Arthur Lee and Gene Clarke are my holy trinity.
